Hi!
Over the years, it has been great to see so many horse owners realizing the benefits to a natural barefoot horse.
Not only do I trail ride in the mountains of NC but compete in Endurance Rides barefoot, no boots, and finish sound. I have been trimming horses of my own and clients for over 25 years.
As a Barefoot Trim Practionier I see many different breeds and a variety of hoof imbalances. One of the most miraculous observations is attitude change and body conformation changes thru out the trim. Horses once head shy and ill are like kittens. Bumps, puffs, U-necks, low backs, pops & clicking sounds of joints, and the list goes on, all melt away as the horse is brought into a balance stance with the assistance of a natural trim. Trims are documented with photos and/or video.
For many it takes several maintenance trims before the horse is able to continue to wear its hooves off in a more natural way. Some horses need the assistance of Hoof Armor or boots during the transition period. Many can go from shoes to barefoot with no problem, but a very nonagressive balance trim is required. Equicast is now available for horses coming out of shoes with very tender hooves to assist with the transition for the first few weeks.
Those barefooted know the beauty of the happiness & agility of their horse. Anyone interested in learning more may contact me. I will forward a list of wonderful material on the barefoot horse. Or click here to print them out.
